Astra Accessories is an e-commerce Instagram store, specializing in crafting and selling jewelry with a "molten chrome" aesthetic, to Gen Z.
Logo Design Process
step 1: Research & Sketching. I familiarized myself with the liquid chrome aesthetic through visual research and discovered that the meaning of the brand's name "Astra" is "star" in Latin. I began sketching concepts that would incorporate star-like traits within the typography.
step 2: Experimenting & Finalizing. During this step of the logo design process, I experimented with different typographical compositions and made changes to perfect the final versions of the logo.
step 3: 3D Modeling & Animation. I created a 3D model of the logo in Illustrator, then imported the .obj file into Blender and adjusted the environment lighting and material properties. I then created a rotating animation of it in After Effects.
